About The Position

The Program Director will oversee and manage the Posse program for up to six university partners. This role involves managing a staff of up to four trainers and one program coordinator, and coordinating all program operations for the site. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining a scholarship nominating network, managing recruitment programs (Dynamic Assessment Process), Pre-Collegiate Training, and Campus Programs. The Director will also work closely with the Career Program, develop the program calendar, and maintain strong relationships with university partner administrators and staff. Additionally, the role requires monitoring student academic performance, retention, and graduation rates, providing regular reports on student outcomes, and ensuring trainer development through coaching and feedback. The Program Director will collaborate with the site director to ensure program goals are met and operations are effective, and will support the director in maintaining university relations through campus visits and communication with administrators and faculty. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, enthusiastic, a great communicator, hard-working, and a strong role model.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in youth development/training programs
  • Minimum 2-3 years of management experience

  • Decisive
  • Good writing and communication skills
  • Knowledge of New York City public high schools
