About The Position

The Program Director is responsible for the functioning and daily operation of the Transitional Independent Living Program. This role involves leadership, clinical consultation, crisis intervention, human resources management, budget management, and ensuring program compliance with internal agency standards and external funding source requirements. The Director will also oversee staff supervision, facility management, and participate in program development and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master Degree with two years of related youth services experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience required.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Highest degree of skills in working with individuals and groups.
  • Computer knowledge and fiscal skills.
  • The ability to respond to various external regulatory agencies and respond to the internal needs of the agency.
  • Must conduct himself/herself with the utmost professionalism and uphold the highest moral and ethical standards at all times.
  • The physical ability to perform the essential job functions is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Function as a leader and facilitator within the program and establish and maintain effective lines of communication with all staff.
  • Provide clinical consultation and crisis intervention as required.
  • Responsible for human resources management, budget management, and program compliance.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the needs of the TIL Program during budget preparation and complies with the program budget as approved.
  • Continuously monitor all expenses and revenues appropriately.
  • Participate in program development and the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of ongoing, established plan for quality improvement which fully integrates initiatives into the daily program operation.
  • Completes and submits all reports accurately in a timely manner.
  • Understands and utilizes information about the program from various sources, including compliance and regulatory sources; and integrates that information into the daily programs operation.
  • Responsible for attending meetings with funding agency and other agencies as directed.
  • Responsible for ongoing supervision of staff.
  • Staff meetings are to be held weekly and minutes kept which reflect discussions and decisions reached.
  • Responsible for facility management, ensuring that the program area is clean, maintained in good repair and conducive to achievement of client goals.
  • Responsible for the appropriate maintenance of all equipment inventories.
  • Responsible for the compliance with goals and objectives of the program as specified internally by the agency and as specified externally by the funding sources.
  • Participate in both internal and external professional activities which further the goals of the program.
