This is a pre-opening position for the Interfaith Works Men's Shelter at Crabbs Branch (IWCB), which is an IW program currently serving women but will transition to a low-barrier emergency shelter for adult men experiencing homelessness by September 1, 2026. Located in Derwood, MD, the 60-bed program will provide year-round shelter, meals, and case management services. The goal of the program is to efficiently move shelter guests to housing so that homelessness is rare, brief, and non-recurring. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and launching this new program. The Program Director will provide direct supervision to the Program Support Manager (PSM) and the Behavioral Health Technician (BHT). They will also support and work collaboratively with the agency Case Manager Supervisor who will provide clinical supervision to all shelter case managers, including the three based at Crabbs Branch shelter. In addition, the Program Director acts as the primary liaison to program funders and stakeholders including Services to End and Prevent Homelessness (SEPH), other departments of Montgomery County Health and Human Services, and partner agencies for onsite issues.
