About The Position

NFI Massachusetts, Inc., a nonprofit human services organization, is seeking an experienced Program Director to lead one of its DDS Residential Programs serving adults with Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI) in Methuen, Massachusetts. Residents are referred to the program following extended stays in long-term care facilities. The program provides a comprehensive range of services, including assistance with activities of daily living, recreational opportunities, individualized supports, transportation, and coordination of medical care and services. The program’s mission is to support adults with acquired brain injuries in living as independently as possible in a less restrictive, community-based setting of their choice.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of supervisory or management experience working with a similar population.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting and monitoring individuals with complex medical needs, including coordination of care with healthcare providers and oversight of medical services.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on program needs.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

  • Experience with program operations, staff supervision, and budget management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision, leadership, and professional development to members of the management team.
  • Ensure program operations align with the agency’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Respond to agency initiatives and funding source requirements.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies and materials to cultivate referral relationships and promote program services.
  • Maintain effective communication with families, funding sources, and licensing representatives.
  • Oversee program finances and manage the budget to ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support for individuals and families served by the program.
  • Participate in agency internal investigations as needed.
  • Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with program and agency policies and procedures.
  • Participate in and oversee the program’s on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 support and responsiveness.
