The Program Director provides overall leadership, administration, and day-to-day operational oversight for the Suicide Prevention Program across its service area. The role ensures that the program delivers high-quality, veteran-centered, trauma-informed, non-clinical suicide prevention services consistent with VA requirements and VOAMASS’s integrated care model. The Program Director leads program implementation; supervises program staff; oversees outreach, screening, peer support, education, case coordination, safety planning, warm hand-offs, and referral follow-through; and maintains strong coordination with VA Suicide Prevention Teams, VA healthcare systems, Vet Centers, veteran-serving organizations, and community partners. The position is accountable for program performance, documentation, data quality, continuous quality improvement, grant compliance, and timely reporting, while ensuring Veterans and their families are connected to the VA and other appropriate supports for clinical care, housing, employment, benefits, and emerging needs.
