About The Position

The Program Director is responsible for all aspects of a 24-hour residential program serving people with intellectual or developmental disabilities, brain injuries, challenging behaviors, and/or mental health needs. The role oversees staff supervision and training, coordination and delivery of person-centered programming and positive support services, daily program operations, records, and regulatory compliance. The position is based at Tokawood Home in Alexandria, Minnesota, and has a starting salary of $62,400 per year.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age, or meet the age dictated by licensure.
• Pass DHS background clearance.
• Have a valid driver's license and meet company driving criteria.
• Be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
• Have a BA or BS degree in human services or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, evaluate, update, and train staff on each person's services, supports, and outcomes.
• Ensure the needs and program expectations of people served are met 24 hours a day.
• Follow recipes, menus, and prescribed diets when preparing and serving meals and snacks.
• Ensure medical treatments and medications are ordered, secured, stored, documented, and administered as medically ordered.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with people served, their family members, outside services and providers, company staff, and the public.
• Develop and maintain staff schedules, including approving or denying staff requests for time off.
• Ensure daily program information is documented.
• Attend and/or lead in-services.
• Complete employee performance reviews and hire, discipline, and terminate staff.
