About The Position

Refuge for Women is a non-profit, faith-based organization providing specialized care for women who have escaped human trafficking or sexual exploitation. With multiple locations across the U.S., Refuge for Women offers safe housing, at no charge to the resident, with around-the-clock care as clients progress through evidence-based, trauma-informed programming. The compassionate staff is trained to help residents work through the program to reclaim their identities and reach their goals to overcome addictions, heal from trauma and develop life skills leading to healthy, balanced living and financial independence. Refuge for Women strives to help each woman complete the program with a vision for her future, equipped to succeed and sustain a life marked with dignity and hope. Refuge for Women is a faith-based organization and it is important for staff to share the same basic values and expectations held by Refuge for Women. Requirements

  • Proven leadership, management and problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated team player with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Attention to detail and organized
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt to frequent changes
  • Strong communication skills with ability to interact with multiple stakeholders
  • Familiarity or experience with 12-step and survivor programs
  • Demonstrated commitment to the organization’s Christian mission and values
  • Willingness to support and participate in faith-based activities as part of staff culture
  • Understanding of or willingness to learn trauma-informed care principles

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and growth of the Survivor Made program.
  • Help develop goals, systems, and strategies that support the program’s mission and sustainability.
  • Work closely with leadership to ensure Survivor Made aligns with organizational goals.
  • Coordinate and schedule pop-up shops, vendor events, and community markets.
  • Build relationships with event organizers, churches, businesses, and community partners.
  • Support event setup, inventory preparation, and staffing coordination.
  • Track event success and help identify opportunities for growth.
  • Supervise and encourage Survivor Made staff and volunteers.
  • Provide training, support, scheduling, and regular feedback.
  • Foster a positive, trauma-informed, mission-focused work environment.
  • Develop and lead job-readiness training for survivor employees.
  • Support skill-building in areas such as customer service, workplace communication, and professionalism.
  • Encourage personal and professional growth through mentorship and coaching.
  • Assist with budgeting, sales tracking, and expense management.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and financial records.
  • Help ensure smooth daily operations and responsible stewardship of resources.
  • Collaborate with marketing staff to promote products and events.
  • Help maintain consistent branding and visual presentation at pop-up shops and retail events.
  • Support efforts to grow both online and in-person sales.
  • Assists the Program Director in executing the career readiness training.
  • Completes weekly skill assessments.
  • Tracks career-readiness metrics as assigned by the Grant Writer.
