About The Position

Humber River Health is seeking an interim Program Director to lead its Surgical team. This role provides strategic leadership oversight for the delivery of the Surgical Services portfolio, which includes Surgical In-patient Units, Out-patient Clinics, Acute Pain Service, Bariatrics & NSQIP. The Program Director is responsible for ensuring quality patient care services that meet legal, regulatory, and professional requirements, aligned with corporate goals. This position involves setting the program’s strategic direction in collaboration with the Chief/Physician Director to promote best practices within Humber River Health. The Surgical Program at Humber River Health is a leader in regional-based surgical care, utilizing a highly skilled team and evidence-based practice. The program offers a wide range of services across twenty operating room theatres, five cystoscopy suites, and an interventional radiology suite. Humber River Health is North America’s first fully digital hospital, committed to innovation, equity, inclusivity, and community connection, serving a diverse population in North West Toronto.

Requirements

  • Substantive education in a related clinical discipline.
  • Clinical experience in acute services.
  • At least five years management experience working with a medical dyad partner.
  • Experience in business planning, resource management, program planning, development, evaluation and managing patient care services.
