About The Position

This position will develop and implement a Behavioral Medicine curriculum within the Residency as well as provide support to other residencies as needed. The position will also perform clinical duties and provide oversight for wellness programing.

Requirements

  • Licensed psychologist in the state of Michigan (or eligible to be licensed in Michigan)
  • Completed a Health Psychology post-doctoral fellowship
  • Two years’ experience teaching in an ACGME residency program
  • Ability to effectively lead and teach research concepts to medical learners
  • Knowledgeable of ACGME standards
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills in all interactions
  • Self-motivated, effective management, and the ability to work with other professionals and effectively persuade others of the appropriateness of programs and projects

Nice To Haves

  • One year experience supervising post-doctoral learners and medical students

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement behavioral science curriculum for Residency following Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements
  • Participate in all faculty meetings as directed by Program Director
  • Provide oversight for wellness programming for Graduate Medical Education
  • Perform clinical duties as assigned which could include Consultation Liaison inpatient, Integrative Primary Care, Integrative Cancer Care or Psychotherapy depending on site need
  • Participate in the American Psychological Association (APA) accredited McLaren Academic Health Psychology Programs for either post-doctoral students or practicum students
  • Perform other duties as assigned
