About The Position

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is currently seeking a Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst for our Elkton, Maryland location. This role involves developing, maintaining, and delivering a monthly integrated master plan and schedule (IMP/IMS) to meet project objectives. The analyst will integrate Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), statement of Work (SOW), Teams, Deliverables, and resources into the Master Schedule. Responsibilities include supporting Material Program Managers and Supply Chain in managing the program supplier base through the IMS, providing daily monitoring and status to the PM for critical path tasks, inputting EVMS requirements and reports, supporting the preparation of monthly operational review packages, assisting with reporting of Division performance for executive management, investigating deviations from plan, and participating in or leading schedule reviews and metric reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related experience; 0 year with Master’s degree or 6 years of relevant experience in Lieu of degree
  • High degree of organizational skills utilizing MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Must possess a “can do” attitude, be creative & flexible
  • Must be able to work onsite in Elkton, MD
  • Ability to communicate with strong verbal and written skills, and to present clear and concise reports, briefings and outlines to team members across 2 locations and customers
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of scheduling tools, MS Project, Open Plan, Primavera or Other
  • Understanding of EVM (Earned Value Management) and DoD (Department of Defense) requirements
  • Experience with Costpoint, Cognos and Sync Manufacturing software

Responsibilities

  • Develop from inception, maintain and deliver a monthly integrated master plan and schedule (IMP/IMS) through completion to meet project IMS objectives
  • Integrate Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), statement of Work (SOW), Teams, Deliverables, and resources into the Master Schedule in an efficient and timely manner
  • Support Material Program Manager and Supply Chain in the management of program supplier base through the IMS and provide daily monitoring and status to the PM for critical path tasks daily
  • Input EVMS requirements and reports to financial control as required
  • Support the preparation of monthly operational review packages
  • Assist with reporting of Division performance for executive management
  • Investigate deviations from plan and unusual results
  • Participate in, lead, and support schedule reviews and metric reporting as requested by management
