About The Position

The Opportunity: Do you want to use your financial and analytical expertise to help support the U.S. Navy? When it comes to considering the cost of building, sustaining, and modernizing critical systems, there is more to consider than just the cost for parts and labor. That's why we need you, a strong analyst who can apply critical thinking, data analysis, and problem-solving skills to support decision-making and effective program management. On our team supporting Navy acquisitions, you will review complex financial and cost data, develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), financial models, analyze and track funding, spend plans, and budget inputs. You’ll develop program briefs, acquisition documentation, track contract information, and support program planning processes. You’ll also have the opportunity to build data dashboards, conduct program analyses, and participate in a variety of programmatic and stakeholder meetings. This position is located in Washington, DC.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with cost analysis or financial analysis
  • 2+ years of experience with PowerBI or Tableau
  • Experience supporting annual Task Planning, spend plan development, and budget analysis
  • Experience with data collection and analysis, excel model development, and using complex logic-based formulas
  • Experience in Microsoft Office 365 Suite applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and SharePoint
  • Knowledge of Navy Systems such as NEPS, COBRA, ERP, and EDW
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, or Economics

  • Experience supporting a U.S. Navy or DoD Program Management Office
  • Experience assisting with budget execution and financial tracking for acquisition programs

Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, and improve complex cost and financial models, including Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), and other data and ad hoc models for decision-making.
  • Support annual Task Planning, provide in-depth financial and program analysis, allocation analysis, and preparation of briefing materials.
  • Analyze spend plans, funding and budget inputs, develop program briefs and acquisition documentation, perform analyses, track funding, and participate in a variety of programmatic meetings.
  • Provide support during POM and budget cycles including funding profiles, issue justification, data collection and analysis, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Develop planning models to analyze program health, schedule impacts, and formulate options to best fulfill project requirements.
  • Contribute to effective analysis and management of incoming and outgoing actions items assigned from meetings, telecoms, or emails.
