About The Position

The Program Coordinator plays a key role in advancing PACT’s statewide partnership with Mai Movement. The mission of Mai Movement is to provide and distribute free menstrual products to menstruators in need and advocate for systemic change in the government, schools and community to end period poverty in Hawai’i. This position supports program operations to ensure equitable access to period products and education across Hawaii. The Coordinator manages statewide product distribution and collection efforts, develops community partnerships, delivers educational workshops, and oversees data collection and reporting. This role requires a collaborative, community-centered approach and a commitment to menstrual equity. This position is under the direct supervision of the Program Director.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Education, Community Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least two (2) years of experience in program coordination, community outreach, or nonprofit service delivery
  • Possesses and maintains a valid driver’s license and daily access to an automobile.
  • Possesses and maintains proof of no-fault insurance.
  • Can obtain an acceptable pre-hire driver’s abstract.
  • Can obtain an acceptable criminal background check upon hire, one year later, and annually thereafter.
  • Can obtain an acceptable CWS background check. upon hire, one year later, and annually thereafter.
  • Can obtain an acceptable National Sex Offender Registry Check upon hire, one year later, and annually thereafter.
  • Can obtain an acceptable APS adult protective services registry check upon initial hire, one year later, and every other year thereafter or as requested.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Education, Community Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Prior experience of providing community-based service delivery and knowledge of menstrual equity and women’s health, highly desirable.
  • Prior experience facilitating workshops and public speaking engagements, highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Behaves in a manner that supports the agency's mission and civility code and follows personnel policies and procedures.
  • Manage Distribution Requests and Inventory. Coordinate and fulfill individual and organizational requests for Mai Care Kits. Maintain accurate inventory tracking through the Air Table system.
  • Implement Sustainable Product Distribution Systems. Design and oversee sustainable distribution strategies for reusable period products in alignment with community needs statewide.
  • Coordinate Community and Partner Engagement. Build and maintain relationships with distribution partners. Lead onboarding processes and provide ongoing support and communication.
  • Support Data Collection and Reporting. Monitor and document program activities and outcomes. Compile quarterly reports including data on distribution, outreach, and partner engagement.
  • Lead Product Collection Events. Plan and execute collection events to source reusable and disposable period products. Coordinate logistics, volunteers, and vendor relations.
  • Recruit and Train Volunteers. Lead volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and training to support product collection, distribution, and community events.
  • Facilitate Menstrual Equity Education. Develop and deliver educational workshops focused on menstrual health and reusable products. Represent Mai Movement at speaking engagements and outreach opportunities.
