About The Position

PathPoint, a leader in providing support services that empower people with disabilities, mental illness, and disadvantages to be valued members of our community, is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator to lead our day programs in San Luis Obispo, CA. Our Behavioral Day Services programs provide individualized supports that focus on vocational development, independence, and social skills through engaging curriculum and meaningful community integration. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations, staff, and services of two programs. You will serve as a leader, advocate, and resource for both your team and the individuals supported, while ensuring high-quality, compliant, and person-centered services. This position is both leadership and operations-focused, requiring strong organization, accountability, and the ability to balance people leadership with administrative and regulatory responsibilities. Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm (variable) 40 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field + 1 year of management experience in human services OR High school diploma + 3 years of human services experience, including: At least 1 year in a supervisory role 2 years supporting individuals in a licensed adult day program or similar setting
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to balance hands-on support with administrative and compliance responsibilities
  • Culturally aware and able to work effectively across diverse backgrounds
  • Valid California driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Minimum of 5 years of driving experience

  • Experience with documentation, billing, or program operations preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of assigned programs, ensuring high-quality, person-centered services
  • Supervise, coach, and support Direct Support Professionals, including providing hands-on guidance as needed
  • Step in to provide direct support during staffing gaps and support day-to-day floor operations
  • Ensure compliance with Community Care Licensing (CCL), Department of Labor, and all applicable regulations
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including participant files, attendance, service hours, and billing support
  • Develop and monitor Individual Service Plans (ISPs), behavioral supports, and participant progress
  • Serve as a liaison with families, community partners, employers, and funding agencies
  • Support outreach, intake, and development of community work and volunteer sites
  • Manage program operations, including scheduling, supply ordering, and tracking departmental expenses
  • Ensure a safe program environment, including adherence to safety protocols, trainings, and emergency procedures
