About The Position

This position advances the mission of reducing food insecurity among older adults and families by managing and directing essential community nutrition programs. The role focuses on building reliable partnerships, ensuring equitable and compliant program delivery and improving access to food through effective coordination, training and monitoring. The position works across teams and with community partners to promote continuous improvement, maintain regulatory alignment and ensure high‑quality service. Through engagement, education and operational oversight, the role ensures programs are responsive, effective and grounded in community needs.

Requirements

  • Earning a bachelor’s degree or gaining at least 4 years of relevant experience coordinating programs or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Proficiency in common office applications and database software (e.g., Microsoft Office, CRM systems).
  • Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets organizational standards.
  • Commitment to advancing the mission of ending hunger.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Ability to complete a background check, motor vehicle record review, drug screening and physical assessment as required for the role.
  • Proven reciprocal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and tailor to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop long‑term, trust‑based relationships with partner organizations and community contacts.

Nice To Haves

  • Working in a nonprofit environment or community-focused organization focused on coordinating programs or a closely related field for at least 5 years.
  • Proven experience as either a client or volunteer in a food pantry setting demonstrating direct knowledge of the services and operations involved.
  • Solid comprehension of federal programming related to food assistance or similar initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) and Senior Congregate Program.
  • Ensure the smooth operations of the programs.
  • Maintain excellent relationships and communication with partners.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Human Services (DHS) and Regional Food Bank standards for the Commodity Supplemental Food Program and Senior Congregate Program.
  • Work with partners to maintain 100% CSFP distribution.
  • Aid in developing program strategies and plans.
  • Accountable for training new program partners.
  • Coordinate in-person and/or virtual training sessions for the program.
  • Arrange DHS Civil Rights training for partners.
  • Distribute program materials.
  • Conduct annual, bi-annual or as needed site visits to partner locations.
  • Check compliance with Department of Human Services and the Regional Food Bank standards.
  • Place internal monthly orders for program partners.
  • Partner with operations to ensure quality control and inventory for commodity box programs.
  • Stay informed about changes in federal regulations.
  • Update program partners, policies and materials as needed.
  • Coordinate the creation of new program partner accounts in Navision.
  • Establish delivery details between the departments involved.
  • Aid in research on senior food insecurity programs and services.
  • Maintain involvement with appropriate senior-specific groups and organizations.
  • Work with regional food pantries to improve services for seniors within the community.
  • Assist with team projects as assigned.
  • Promote senior programs at various community events.
  • Program presentations to new partners and community groups as needed.
  • Share best practices between Moore Food & Resource Center (FRC) and Food for Senior team to improve program delivery.
  • Facilitate joint training sessions to ensure both teams comprehend each other's workflows and responsibilities.
  • Develop & maintain mutual resources and toolkits for efficient case management and reporting.
  • Other Duties as Assigned
