About The Position

Tobin Beaudet Schools is seeking a warm, reliable Program Coordinator to support our school-age program. This full-time role focuses on creating a safe, engaging environment for children while collaborating closely with colleagues and maintaining strong communication with families. The Program Coordinator facilitates daily activities, ensures consistent supervision, and upholds all safety and regulatory standards. Our program provides a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment where children learn through exploration, creativity, and meaningful relationships. We value teacher voice, collaboration, and a child-centered approach. Our programs are licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) and accredited by the Council on Accreditation. The Program Coordinator will encourage, empower, trust, inspire, teach, have confidence in and value each member of our team. The Program Coordinator makes decisions based on sound developmental knowledge and continues learning best practices of the education field. This leader is responsible for creating a safe, positive, nurturing and engaging environment, and seeks to understand parents’ changing needs and potential changes in the environment that would impact the success of the school.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
  • Director 1 EEC Certified or ability to obtain
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Warm, engaging presence with the ability to build positive relationships.
  • High attention to detail with strong follow-through.
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and collaborative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn additional platforms.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Flexibility and willingness to assist colleagues and support multiple classrooms.
  • Comfortability receiving direction and providing others with direction.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 35 lbs., climbing stairs, and active play.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and participating in daily activities that promote learning, creativity, and social-emotional development.
  • Supporting a warm, welcoming environment for children and families during drop-off and pick-up.
  • Communicating consistently with your team to coordinate schedules, classroom needs, and support for individual children.
  • Ensuring safe, clean, and organized program spaces; reporting facility or supply needs promptly.
  • Providing consistent supervision and care for children throughout program hours.
  • Encouraging positive relationships and strong school–family partnerships.
  • Maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Communicating and planning with the Director on a regular basis, keeping them informed of all activity within the school relating to general business, children, faculty and parents.
  • Processing and formatting data using Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and other software.
  • Completing required documentation and supporting child assessments as needed.
  • Creating and sharing timely classroom communications when appropriate.
  • Adhering to all school policies, procedures, and professional codes of ethics.
  • Participating in required trainings, professional development, and staff meetings.
  • Supporting children’s individual needs, including hygiene and personal care, as needed.
  • Serving as a mandated reporter and following all required reporting procedures.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
