About The Position

Routinely serving over 2000 J.D. students in hundreds of courses, the Program Coordinator for the Experiential Education Office is a key member of Georgetown Law's nationally recognized experiential education team. Under the direction of the Assistant Dean, this position assists the Assistant Dean and the Senior Director in the administration of non-clinical experiential learning courses, including the J.D. Externship Program, simulation courses (including compressed, weekend simulations and January’s Week One) and practicum courses (fieldwork and project-based). The right candidate will play a critical role in supporting all the Office's initiatives, including effective, timely, professional collaboration with students, faculty and staff on all non-clinical experiential learning courses and programming; managing the Office’s frequent communications; maintaining the website and online materials; processing payments and transactions related to the program; and assisting the Assistant Dean in monitoring the budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Familiarity with Google Suite, including Docs, Sheets and Slides; Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and WordPress.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to focus on detail.
  • Ability to problem solve, take initiative and quickly adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Ability to identify and manage priorities.
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of people and circumstances.
  • Demonstrated emotional maturity and the ability to exercise good judgment in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience preferred.
  • Experience with Canvas, Box, Canva or similar platforms is a plus.
  • This position is ideal for an early-career professional with strong organizational skills who might be interested in pursuing a public interest career.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative support for the Experiential Education Office, including managing the day-to-day operations of the office, supporting professors, students and other departments, ordering and delivering classroom supplies
  • Communications, website management, program promotions, including sending all routine program communications, monitoring the program’s primary inbox, [email protected], managing the LinkedIn page and organizing info sessions
  • Data Analysis, processing routine financial transactions and reimbursement
  • Other duties as assigned
