About The Position

Position supports the educational mission of the University through management and supervision of the Centennial Student Union game room (the Maverick Bullpen), overseeing student employment, food service operations, policy implementation, resource coordination, and safety protocol enforcement. The coordinator is part of a dynamic work unit consisting of new initiatives and evolving programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least one (1) year of experience in collegiate, recreation, student union, or multi‑purpose hospitality settings, with part‑time managerial, assistantship, internship, or other pre‑professional experience accepted toward the requirement.
  • Work safely at all times, which includes but is not limited to, participating and completing all required safety trainings, as well as performing all job tasks in accordance with Minnesota State University, Mankato policies and procedures utilizing appropriate tools, equipment and personal protective equipment.
  • Participation is required for weekend and evening events; possibly including weekend and overnight travel.
  • Participation in industry related association meetings for the purpose of cultivating new knowledge and opportunities.
  • This position may be called for consultation or required to respond to an emergency on campus at any time.
  • Mobile enough to manage and supervise job functions, including performing maintenance work on pinsetters and bowling equipment.
  • Be able to lift and carry 10-25 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
