About The Position

This role involves implementing training activities for adolescent social skills groups, conducting up to 5 sessions per month, with each session being one 90-minute group. The Program Coordinator will provide support and oversight for the Social Skills Group, conduct initial meetings with families, ensure all necessary intake paperwork is signed, and assess individuals for program eligibility. Responsibilities also include planning and implementing social skills training activities, ordering materials, ensuring timely completion of case notes, accurately recording work hours, and maintaining data security. The role requires compliance with agency policies, procedures, and mandated training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in counseling, Education, Psychology or related field.
  • Experience conducting or coordinating positive behavior support services.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the position when performing the following: standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling and climbing.
  • Ability to support people receiving services with repositioning, lifting and transferring as required by their person-centered plan.
  • Physical agility and ability to react to emergency situations.
  • Valid Driver’s License that meets agency policy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and oversight for the Social Skills Group.
  • Conduct initial meetings with families in connection with the Social Skills Program.
  • Have families sign all necessary intake paperwork.
  • Assess people to determine eligibility for the Social Skills Program.
  • Plan and implement social skills training activities appropriate for various age groups.
  • Order materials for the Social Skills Program.
  • Ensure Case Notes are completed contemporaneously in accordance with the Agency Policy.
  • Responsible to record time worked at the start and end of each shift and to work the minimum number of accepted hours hired for.
  • Responsible for securing and protecting personal and agency related data by adhering to the Agency’s computer security policies.
  • Keeps in compliance with agency mandated in-service and online trainings.
  • Complies with all agency policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for the supervision of program Direct Support Professionals.
