About The Position

This role is responsible for providing leadership and direction to a comprehensive student development program and for the administrative operation of a residential community. The expectation is that this is accomplished through interactions with students and staff both inside and outside of the office environment. You will provide supervision and mentorship to student staff, oversees daily residence hall operations, and serves as a primary on‑site resource for student support, policy enforcement, crisis response, and community building. The Program Coordinator collaborates with campus partners to promote student engagement, wellness, and accountability while fostering a welcoming residential experience. This position plays a key role in addressing student concerns, managing administrative responsibilities, and responding to after‑hours and emergency situations as part of an on‑call rotation. Evening and occasional weekend work are expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, education administration, or closely related field required.
  • Commitment to social justice, community advocacy, and working with students of diverse backgrounds is required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work successfully in a team setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, or closely related field preferred or 4 years of applicable experience in lieu of master’s degree can be accepted.
  • Experience with higher education, student conduct, student counseling, conflict management.
  • Two to Four (2-5) years of experience managing residence facilities, including any graduate level experience in a residence hall.
  • Student conduct experience.
  • Emergency and crisis response skills.
  • Experience working with Living Learning Communities and/or themed communities.
