About The Position

In this role, the Research Program Coordinator will assist with the planning and implementation of the Research Education & Training programs and will work closely with the Director to coordinate and oversee programs including, but not limited to clinical, education, and community outreach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferably a science-based major)
  • 2-3 years of experience, or educational equivalent, working as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • High level of organizational skills
  • Ability to function independently
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and develop positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to adapt various technologies and a rapidly changing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s preferred
  • Prior program coordinator or assistant experience highly preferred.
  • Prior experience in cardiology, healthcare and/or program operations highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Compose and edit the quarterly Women’s Heart Center Newsletter
  • Plan and support the annual symposium and community outreach events for the Women’s Heart Center.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry sponsors to secure funding for the symposium.
  • Support and assist with the planning of Grand Rounds and all other educational symposiums.
  • Plan and execute WHC events at the discretion of the Program Director and Program Manager
  • Implements programs changes to ensure continuity of care as patient or physician needs change
