About The Position

This position coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Infant and Early Learning Centers. It provides coordinating services such as staff scheduling, supervision and training; parent communications; facility maintenance and security. This position insures the health, safety and emotional well-being of children and staff. This position is for Brichta Infant and Early Learning Center off of Silverbell and Speedway. The Program Coordinator oversees the day to day operational needs of the center. Brichta serves infants as young as 6 weeks to 5 year olds in PreK.

Requirements

  • Arizona Teaching Certificate with Early Childhood Endorsement OR A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in the areas of early childhood, child development or a closely related field AND 6 Months Child Care experience
  • Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
  • Required to work shifts, evenings, weekends, training holidays, and/or in various situations at other locations.
  • Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (must be maintained current during course of employment).
  • Blood Borne Pathogens Training
  • Valid Driver's license (Arizona Driver’s License required within 30 days of hire)
  • MVReport – showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.
  • Reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence of insurance compliance greater than or equal to the state required minimum for car insurance as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Degree or higher in Early Childhood, Child Development or closely related field
  • One (1) year previous experience as a Director or Assistant Director in childcare serving infants through preschool
