About The Position

The Royal College is a national, nonprofit organization established in 1929 by a special Act of Parliament to oversee the medical education of specialists in Canada. The Royal College partners and collaborates to lead the evolution of specialty medical education and standards; support specialist physicians, learners and teams to continuously improve; and advocate for excellence in specialty medicine by supporting innovation, well-being, equity and person-centered care. Reporting to the Manager, Exam Quality and Analytics, the Program Coordinator will provide administrative and operational support to a specific program area, including workflow coordination, program administration, planning and organizing of program activities, and supporting program development.

Requirements

  • College level diploma in business administration, office administration, or a related field
  • 3 years of related experience in program coordination
  • Intermediate skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, database applications and/or project software

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and conducts specific processes/activities within the EPR program, including tracking workflow and status of each specialty as exam preparation resources are selected, reviewed, delivered, and closed
  • Liaises with Exam Facilitators and Boards to determine timing of meetings and to track work processes
  • Analyzes information and composes briefing notes, reports, and summaries of work to provide advice, guidance, and interpretation of Royal College standards and protocols to internal and external partners
  • Organizes, coordinates, and presents at meetings, workshops, and training to ensure objectives are met and action items are implemented
  • Prepares, reviews, and edits presentation materials to ensure they are presentable for meetings and workshops
  • Monitors program quality by employing continuous quality improvement principles to ensure that the program is effective and efficient
