About The Position

Provide program coordination and management for the Esthetician program, including staffing, facility and resource management, accreditation, curriculum development/maintenance, course instruction, and regulatory compliance.

  • Associate degree in a related field from an accredited institution is required.
  • Five (5) years of experience as an esthetician is required.
  • One (1) year of supervisory experience.
  • Current active licensure as an esthetician in the State of Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day management and evaluation of the Esthetician program, instructors, staff, facilities, and resources.
  • Deliver safe and practical programming, and coordinate program activities and projects.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for students, instructors, and staff.
  • Recruit, interview, and recommend hiring part-time instructors and staff related to the program.
  • May teach program courses, with instruction time of 30% - 40% of the workload, as determined by the supervisor before each semester.
  • Assist in facilitating and resolving students' complaints/concerns in a constructive, fair, and balanced manner, following the college's values while working with faculty, associate faculty, academic advisors, the Dean of Students Office, and other departments as needed.
  • Assist with managing student admissions, advisement, progression, completion, certification, and licensing processes for the program.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to improve instruction and provide discipline-specific academic advising to increase student retention and completion.
  • Maintain accurate and complete program records.
  • Maintain lab space cleanliness and sanitation per the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) guidelines and manage consumable supply inventory, including establishing a PAR stock, facilitating ordering supplies as needed, and ensuring availability for instruction.
  • Oversee workforce program compliance with college, accreditation, TDLR, and THECB requirements.
  • Foster effective communication and teamwork among staff, instructors, and administration within the division.
  • Participate in the financial planning and management of the program and its resources to ensure net revenue goals are met or exceeded.
  • Attend and participate in professional development activities and participate in service to the college.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
