About The Position

Assists in the planning, organizing, implementation, and management of three (3) to five (5) programs. Help Workforce Development (WFD) customers achieve their full potential through the dignity and power of work. Works with other WFD programs to help create a positive, effective, and consistent corporate culture that is focused on training, education, and employment services.

Requirements

  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in career development, human services, counseling, case management, or a related field is required.
  • Excellent computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Office).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a working knowledge of grammar usage, letter writing skills, and proofreading skills.
  • Resourceful, detail-oriented, able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proven problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to get multi-sector stakeholders to work together.
  • Ability to analyze opportunities and problems, identify and evaluate alternatives, and develop effective approaches to address any issues.
  • Must be able to work under strict deadlines.
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • A master’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the programs meet or exceed established program goals and standards.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the program, including administration and fiscal and programmatic compliance.
  • Responsible for maintaining the program’s compliance with regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Track case management in multiple databases.
  • Lead routine staff meetings to discuss case management coordination, WFD customers’ progress, work readiness, and placement updates, etc.
  • Assist with intake assessment, testing, and program assignments for new WFD customers.
  • Assist with case management when needed.
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise program staff.
  • Coordinate outreach activities and workflow between WFD customers and referral partners, to include qualifying GWH associates.
  • Work with management and the Accounting Team to ensure budget(s), fiscal compliance, and program administration are appropriately handled.
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving program disbursements to ensure conformity with funding agency and GWH’s policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all invoices for services rendered are correctly prepared and delivered to referring agencies.
  • Responsible for the timely collection, analysis, and reporting of key program operating data.
  • Oversee and ensure the timely recording of all required participant reports and documentation required for state and local agency regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain documentation for fiscal and program audits.
  • Ensure that all licensing and certifications required by federal, state, and local regulatory agencies are current.
  • Act as a liaison with federal, state, and local agencies by developing and maintaining positive working relationships to encourage and assure client referrals to the program.
  • Facilitate communication with referral sources and the private sector to ensure the program offers services to the needs of the participants and the community.
  • Evaluate and recommend program support service referrals for training, education, curricula, and materials for work readiness programs, which reflect the needs of the business community and job opportunities for the program.
  • Coordinate janitorial and routine maintenance of the program facilities as needed.
  • Maintain adequate materials, supplies, and equipment to support a professional environment at all work readiness and job placement activities.
  • Monitor and identify grant opportunities relevant to assigned programs or areas of responsibility.
  • Conduct initial review to assess alignment with organizational priorities, program goals, and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare a summary of potential grant opportunities and submit to leadership for consideration and next steps.
  • Support leadership staff by providing program-specific insights or data that may strengthen applications.
  • Track expiration dates for all current grants to ensure timely review.
  • Perform other duties as directed by management to support evolving organizational needs.
