About The Position

The Advanced Electro-Optical/Infrared Solutions (AES) team is seeking a Finance Lead to support the Emerging & Proprietary Programs portfolio. This position is a member of the AES and Finance leadership teams and partners with the AES CFO, Emerging & Proprietary Programs Director, Program Leadership, and functional organizations to support financial planning, program execution, and business objectives. Primary responsibilities include preparation of the Five-Year Plan (5YP) and Annual Operating Plan (AOP), financial forecasting and reporting, variance analysis, Earned Value Management (EVM) compliance, Estimates at Completion (EACs), proposal support, cash management, capital and company-funded requests, and return on investment (ROI) analysis. The role also supports financial planning, affordability initiatives, cost management activities, and program growth. This position provides financial guidance to the Emerging & Proprietary Programs portfolio, supports program execution, and maintains financial controls. The Finance Lead manages multiple financial activities and supports development and production programs across the portfolio. The position leads a finance team of five or more finance professionals supporting development and production contracts.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience managing staff and leading business teams.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of five or more finance professionals, including assigning work, providing coaching, mentoring, and supporting employee development.
  • Partner with Program Leadership and functional organizations to support program execution, financial planning, and business objectives.
  • Implement and maintain financial controls supporting contract execution and investment activities.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and contractual requirements across the program portfolio.
  • Lead Estimates at Completion (EACs), Earned Value Management System (EVMS) activities, and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Plan (LRP) processes.
  • Support financial forecasting, reporting, variance analysis, proposal activities, cash management, capital planning, and return on investment (ROI) analysis.
