Program Controls Scheduling Manager
About The Position
AECOM is seeking a Program Controls Scheduling Manager to support complex, multi-project programs. The role leads scheduling across medium- to large-scale programs, integrating project schedules into a cohesive program framework while managing interdependencies, risks, and resource alignment. The manager partners with project managers and senior leadership to guide strategic decisions and ensure program objectives are met from early estimating through construction and closeout. This position provides program-level scheduling leadership for transportation programs, mentors project controls teams, and supports successful program delivery. The manager communicates program progress, challenges, and achievements to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Nice To Haves
- 12 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience.
- Experience with schedule management on transportation, water, and aviation infrastructure programs.
- Experience managing schedule evolution from estimating through design, construction, and closeout, including changes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute scheduling activities for medium- to large-scale programs.
- Lead scheduling across multiple projects, aligning schedules with program objectives and integrating them into a comprehensive program schedule.
- Analyze interdependencies between projects, proactively mitigate risks, and resolve conflicts to maintain program integrity.
- Collaborate with project managers on effective resource allocation and utilization.
- Work with senior leadership to define and refine program-level objectives and align them with organizational goals.
- Provide scheduling guidance and oversight to project controls teams to support effective management of project elements and overall program cohesion.
- Implement and monitor risk mitigation strategies, evaluate their effectiveness, and adjust them as needed.
- Facilitate timely, clear communication between project teams and stakeholders about program developments.
- Provide senior leadership with analytical updates on program progress, challenges, and achievements to inform decisions.
