About The Position

At Rincon Research Corporation, our primary business is innovating, developing, and fielding digital signal processing (DSP) products and services for the United States Defense and Intelligence Communities in support of national security. As a result of continuing growth, Rincon Research Corporation seeks an entry-level program control analyst professional to join the Operations Management Services (OMS) Directorate, an organization reporting directly to RRC’s CEO. This position provides project financial planning and scheduling expertise to multiple projects assisting their Program Managers (PMs) in the use of cost and scheduling tools associated with an Earned Value Management System (EVMS). The selected candidate will work closely with the PMs, their managers, and Rincon Vice-Presidents in establishing cost and schedule baselines and analyzing the status of projects. Requirements

  • Team-oriented, self-starter who can work with multiple program managers on multiple projects
  • Experience effectively communicating financial and schedule information to PMs and various levels of management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and/or 3 to 4 years of experience in project management support and project status analysis
  • Understanding of basic accounting fundamentals
  • Ability to analyze program financial activities for compliance and risk
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contract types
  • Experience analyzing budgets, forecasts, estimates at completion, commitments, and revenue
  • Experience multi-tasking and work prioritization in a fast-paced project environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance
  • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED

Nice To Haves

  • Possess a TS/SCI security clearance currently or within the last two years
  • Experience monitoring project budgets and expenditures
  • Experience analyzing project budgets and assisting PMs to stay current on project financial data
  • Experience assisting PMs develop master project and subcontractor schedules for contract projects and proposals
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
  • Experience performing schedule analysis and assisting Project Manager in updating schedules.
  • Experience understanding Proposal and Contract requirements for schedules and associated schedule development
  • Experience with the forProject EVMS tool
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and analyzes financial and schedule data received from PMs and the company accounting systems, ensuring accuracy, and identifying any emerging cost or schedule trends.
  • Maintains and presents financial and schedule information and analysis to various levels of management.
  • Ensures compliance with internal procedures and contract requirements.
  • Participates in audits and interfaces with government auditors to ensure an understanding of financial and schedule data, methodology, and applicability under appropriate government regulations.
