Our Civil Space Systems division designs and builds solutions that enable human exploration in deep space, low earth orbit, and beyond. Within Civil Space Systems, our team engineers and manufactures the Environmental Control and Life Support systems (ECLSS) used on the ISS- including the world-renowned Extravehicular Mobility Unit (EMU), the official space suit for ISS operations these systems sustain astronauts and enable mission – critical spacewalks that push the boundaries of human exploration. Seeking an enthusiastic and driven Program Chief Engineer (PCE). In this role, you’ll combine strong technical expertise with exceptional project leadership to guide multidisciplinary teams. This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), technical experience, and the ability to work as a cross-functional team leader. Direct communication with customers, primarily NASA, will be required at times. You will manage projects that produce components which meet stringent operating requirements and provide extraordinarily high reliability. The PCE has primary accountability for meeting technical requirements and scope for the program, including engineering costs and schedule commitments, and serves as the primary technical execution interface. The PCE is the single Engineering point of contact accountable for leading all Engineering activities, cost and schedule on the program. This is an ONSITE position based out of Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX or our Collins Aerospace Facility in Windsor Locks, CT.
