About The Position

Support projects through procurement of all materials needed for a particular end product. Assist with the implementation of the ZF commodity strategies. Support the whole purchasing process for new products or localization of existing products through supplier search, Bill of Material cost management; support the commodity organization in their request for quotations, commercial negotiations, contractual agreements including warranty and consignment agreements, prototype orders, and purchase orders and/or scheduling agreements. Help monitor supplier performance during program launch and through product life cycle. Support continuous review of cost performance against targets and assist with Global Competitive Sourcing activities. Analyze North American supply base to prepare and recommend suppliers to be added/removed from the approved supplier list as well as nominate suppliers for the Strategic Supplier List.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Administration, Economics or related field
• 0-1 Years of Experience in Purchasing
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project etc.)
• Soft Skills: Assertiveness, ability to work in teams and manage projects remotely, solution-oriented thinking, independent and results-driven work approach, and negotiation skills
• Must be local to South Carolina
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future.
