About The Position

Friends Life Community is seeking caring and compassionate Lipscomb University students who qualify for Federal Work Study to assist clients during the day. The Program Attendant’s primary responsibility is to help ensure client safety while supporting activities. The ideal candidate is committed to helping others, engages clients in meaningful conversations, and models appropriate adult behavior. A strict no-cell-phone policy applies while supervising clients; staff are provided with a walkie-talkie to communicate with one another as needed. The role includes understanding individual client risks, following safety protocols and emergency procedures, conducting headcounts, and obtaining and maintaining CPR and First Aid certification. Paid training is provided. Attendants use Positive Behavior Supports and demonstrate inclusion, empathy, communication, and relationship-building.
