About The Position
Support staff for CSC Summer Program.
Requirements
- Must be a current college student or college student.
- Must have working knowledge of computers and interacting and motivating elementary students.
- High level of energy, endurance and patience.
- Comfortable working with different personalities in an informal environment.
- Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment.
- Ability to model appropriate behaviors at all times.
- Ability to address and de-escalate crisis.
- Physical requirements include sight, hearing, sitting for over two hours plus per day.
Responsibilities
- Stimulate interest and participation for members in reading/math/nutrition/fitness.
- Help maintain classroom materials and fitness equipment.
- Help classroom teacher & fitness director.
- Mobilizing members to attend classes in CSC.
- Help with maintaining discipline and adherence to BGC rules.
- Develop a positive atmosphere among the members toward achieving long term academic and social goals.
- File members’ applications.
- Log members’ pre/post test for reading/math/fitness/nutrition.
- Interact with parents as needed.
- Communicate with Data Entry Clerk with members’ attendance.
- Provide quality assurance for program.
