About The Position

Assist in the implementation of Special Education program objectives and activities. This role requires knowledge of specific programs, record-keeping techniques, computer operation, and communication skills. The assistant will support responsible duties for a specific program, understand and follow directions, maintain cooperative relationships, and prepare reports. They must also be able to operate a computer, prioritize work, and stay current with program rules and regulations.

  • Ability to meet schedules and time lines.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Proof of a high school diploma.
  • Passed the Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment OR completion of a minimum of sixty (48) semester hours of study at an institution of higher education OR an associate degree or higher.
  • Physical exam.
  • TB risk assessment.
  • CAN check.
  • Drug screen.
  • State/national criminal background check.
