About The Position

This position supports programs by assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of educational events, workshops, and training activities. The role involves maintaining and updating program data, including participant tracking, attendance records, and reporting documentation. Responsibilities also include assisting with event logistics such as scheduling, communications, materials preparation, and day-of-event support, as well as performing data entry and ensuring the accuracy and organization of program-related records. The Program Assistant will communicate with students, trainees, faculty, and staff regarding program activities, schedules, and updates, and will serve as the front desk point of contact by answering phones, greeting visitors, and directing inquiries. Additionally, the role involves managing conference room schedules and shared space calendars, maintaining office supplies, providing general administrative support, coordinating visitor access, and identifying and reporting operational issues.

Requirements

  • Experience in data entry, data tracking, or basic data management
  • Experience supporting events, workshops, or educational programs
  • Academic focus in fields such as Data Science, Information Systems, Public Health, Education, Psychology, Sociology, Communications, or related areas
  • Interest in student engagement, education programs, or training coordination
  • Experience interacting with students, participants, or community groups in an academic or program setting
  • Strong interest in developing skills in data management, program coordination, and educational support within a research environment

Responsibilities

  • Support programs by assisting with planning, coordination, and execution of educational events, workshops, and training activities
