About The Position

The Program and Victim Services Specialist provides compassionate, trauma-informed support to victims and survivors of impaired driving crashes while supporting daily program and office operations. This role manages a caseload, conducts needs assessments, delivers crisis intervention, and provides advocacy, including guidance through the legal system and connection to critical resources. In addition, this role supports administrative functions, coordinates communications, and assists with community outreach, events, and awareness initiatives. This position requires a highly organized, adaptable professional who can balance client support with operational responsibilities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. This is a hybrid position which has an annual salary of $50,000.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, nonprofit management, communications, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience in victim advocacy, case management, grief support work, nonprofit administration, office coordination, event coordination, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Reliable transportation to attend court proceedings, meetings, and community events is required along with a flexible schedule.
  • Strong organizational skills; detail oriented with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and execute in a high-volume environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop and convey thoughts clearly, logically, and concisely both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to resolve issues and maintain professionalism in an environment of changing and/or multiple priorities.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to balance client-facing responsibilities and operational duties.
  • Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook and familiarity with entering data into online systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to organizational and ethical standards.
  • Demonstrated commitment, passion, and compassion for the mission of the organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments for victims/survivors of alcohol- and drug-impaired driving crashes to determine appropriate emotional support, resources, and referrals.
  • Develop and implement individualized case management plans, including crisis intervention, grief support, counseling referrals, basic needs assistance, and court accompaniment as appropriate.
  • Maintain an active caseload, providing ongoing support, advocacy, and timely referrals in alignment with organizational standards and grant requirements.
  • Advocate for victims/survivors by supporting the protection of their rights and educating them on the criminal and civil justice systems, as well as navigating legal, medical, and financial processes.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant case documentation in accordance with organizational policies and grant requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for office operations, including managing phones, email inquiries, mail processing, and general organizational communications.
  • Oversee office administration, including maintaining office systems, supplies, vendor relationships, and ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Provide administrative support to staff and leadership, including scheduling, document preparation, data entry, recordkeeping, and database management.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating community events, outreach initiatives, awareness campaigns, and fundraisers (including signature events such as the annual Walk), including logistics, materials preparation, volunteer coordination, and on-site support.
  • Support organizational outreach and engagement efforts through participation in community events, tabling, and public awareness activities.
  • Maintain flexibility to work a hybrid schedule, including a minimum of three in-office days per week, with occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays as required to support victims, court proceedings, and organizational initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
