About The Position

As a defense mission professional, you ask questions others don’t. You understand the nuances of complex situations. You use your skills to think bigger and push further, solving complex problems. We’re looking for an expert like you to create solutions for missions that keep our nation safe. As a defense mission professional, you’ll bring your analytical, strategic, and technical expertise to work on projects for the Navy. You’ll provide program management support and work with key stakeholders to create and maintain program budgets, review contracts, and project cost accounting. You’ll help with tactical Planning using resources like Microsoft 365 suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams, and have regular interactions with the Program Manager, program sponsors, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), schedulers, customers, and project analysts. You’ll be a trusted advisor to our clients, and we’ll look to you to identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, and processes. You’ll guide the work we do for the Navy and the solutions we deliver for military missions and capabilities. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience operating as part of a large, complex staff in a high-tempo environment
  • Experience in project and financial management
  • Experience with project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Knowledge of NEPS or ePS system
  • Ability to develop and manage data calls such as the planning and execution of budgets, cost estimates, and task planning sheets to completion
  • Ability to support the clients with management and oversight of acquisition systems, programs, and platforms
  • Ability to coordinate with all stakeholders to meet or exceed delivery dates
  • Ability to effectively use the Microsoft 365 suite, including Microsoft Teams, Planner, Excel, and SharePoint
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Experience collaborating with U.S. Navy organizations such as OPNAV, SYSCOMs, warfare centers, or Fleet stakeholders
  • Experience with the Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) program
  • Knowledge of the POM and PPBE processes
  • Knowledge of the Navy 30-Year Shipbuilding Plan
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree
