About The Position

i3 is seeking a Mid-Level Program Analyst to support engineering and programmatic activities in a DoD environment. This role requires a strong technical background in information technology, systems administration, networking, or related engineering disciplines. That technical foundation will be used to develop, review, and improve engineering and programmatic documentation, ensuring technical information is accurate, complete, consistent, and clearly communicated. The selected candidate will work with engineers, technical leads, users, vendors, and other stakeholders to gather and interpret technical information; review requirements, specifications, test documentation, and other engineering artifacts; conduct market research and trade studies; and develop technical recommendations and program documentation. The position may also provide hands-on support for systems administration, troubleshooting, integration, testing, and other technical activities as needed. This position will support work on-site at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. An interim DoD Secret security clearance is required to start.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required. Six additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
3-10 years of relevant experience in information technology, systems administration, networking, engineering, systems integration, or a related technical field.
Strong technical background in information technology, systems administration, networking, or related engineering disciplines.
Experience developing, reviewing, analyzing, or working from technical requirements and engineering or system documentation, including the evaluation of hardware, software, network technologies, and other technical solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate technical issues and develop practical recommendations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical information into clear documentation for engineering, management, and customer audiences.
Ability to work independently with general guidance, manage multiple concurrent priorities, and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary technical team.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance; an interim Secret clearance is required to start.
U.S. Citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience conducting technical research, market research, vendor or product comparisons, technical evaluations, alternatives analyses, or trade studies is preferred.
Hands-on experience administering Windows and/or Linux systems and supporting IT infrastructure, including networking, virtualization, server infrastructure, software installation and configuration, troubleshooting, cybersecurity, or common enterprise IT services, is preferred.
Experience reviewing or developing requirements, interface documents, system architectures, technical specifications, test plans, test reports, or similar engineering documentation is a plus.
Hands-on experience supporting system integration, testing, troubleshooting, technical demonstrations, or evaluation activities for Government or technical customers is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop, review, and maintain engineering, technical, and programmatic documentation supporting system development and sustainment activities.
Review system requirements, specifications, architectures, test documentation, technical reports, vendor information, and other engineering artifacts for technical accuracy, completeness, consistency, and clarity.
Work with engineers and technical stakeholders to gather, interpret, and organize technical information into clear and usable documentation, briefings, status reports, and other program products.
Conduct market research and compare commercially available and government-developed hardware, software, technologies, and products; support technical evaluations and trade studies based on capability, cost, compatibility, supportability, and risk.
Analyze technical problems, system capabilities, workflows, and operational needs; document findings, risks, recommendations, and potential courses of action.
Support systems management, integration, and improvement activities involving computer systems, networks, software, virtualization, and related infrastructure.
Provide systems administration and general IT support as needed, including configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, system updates, and lifecycle support for Windows and/or Linux systems and networked equipment.
Support technical demonstrations, evaluations, testing, integration activities, and data collection while coordinating with engineers, cybersecurity personnel, users, vendors, and Government customers.
