Artemis ArcUNAVAILABLE, UNAVAILABLE

About The Position

Artemis is seeking a Senior Program Analyst (EDI-Focused Project Coordinator) to support the Department of Veterans Affairs' Community Care Network Next Generation (CCN NG) and Veterans Family Member Program (VFMP) under TOPR 0018. In this role, you will serve as a key liaison across VA business and IT teams, coordinating multi-workstream efforts to advance large-scale Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) modernization and systems integration initiatives that directly impact healthcare delivery for Veterans and their families. You will drive project schedule alignment, support Agile development cadences, and ensure seamless collaboration across enterprise-level programs within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) ecosystem. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented coordinator who thrives in complex federal healthcare environments, can navigate competing priorities across technical and business stakeholders, and brings a strong command of EDI standards alongside Agile project management discipline.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of project coordination experience, including at least 3 years supporting federal healthcare programs or large-scale EDI modernization initiatives, with demonstrated practical experience within the last year.
  • Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field such as Health Informatics, Information Systems, Business Administration, Project Management, or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting federal healthcare agency programs, preferably within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VHA) or comparable federal health IT or community care environments.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a VA PIV credential and pass a VA background investigation; must meet all federal contractor access requirements for VA network and systems access.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship; this position supports a U.S. federal government contract and is subject to applicable citizenship and residency requirements.
  • Proven expertise in EDI Standards (X12) transaction workflows and experience supporting Agile project environments, including PI planning, backlog management, and JIRA-based task tracking across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary coordinator for EDI production issues, triaging incoming defects and discrepancies related to X12 EDI transactions (e.g., 837, 835, 270/271, 278) and driving them to resolution in alignment with VA program timelines and SLAs.
  • Utilize Agile workflows and JIRA to log, track, prioritize, and manage EDI production issues through the full defect lifecycle, ensuring clear documentation of root cause analysis, resolution steps, and stakeholder communications.
  • Conduct data analysis using SQL queries and searches across cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS) and VA-managed systems to investigate production anomalies, validate transaction data, and troubleshoot reporting discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with VA contracting officers, program managers, EDI trading partners, and technical development teams to identify systemic EDI data mapping issues and recommend corrective actions or process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain clear written documentation including issue logs, status reports, root cause analyses, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support program transparency and institutional knowledge retention.
  • Monitor EDI transaction volumes and processing trends to proactively identify emerging production risks, surface patterns requiring escalation, and support continuous improvement of EDI operations across the CCN NG and VFMP programs.
