About The Position

The Program Analyst II supports the Study to Explore Early Development (SEED) and related program operations within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities (NCBDDD). This position provides a blend of program analysis, operational coordination, and administrative support to ensure effective execution of public health research activities.

Requirements

  • Ability to supports day-to-day program execution including onboarding, training compliance, travel coordination, meeting logistics, and administrative workflow management.
  • Able to use and track activities in federal systems (e.g., TASNET, VSTS) while ensuring adherence to security, training, property, and administrative requirements.
  • Ability to maintain calendars, records, property inventories, and program tracking systems; ensures accuracy, organization, and timely updates of operational data.
  • Ability to coordinate across internal teams and external partners, prepares agendas and documentation, and communicates clearly with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and discretion while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced federal environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Health Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in program support, administrative coordination, federal operations, or healthcare/public health environments.
  • Experience supporting onboarding, training coordination, scheduling, or operational program activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in program support, administrative coordination, federal operations, or healthcare/public health environments.
  • Exposure to CDC programs, maternal and child health, developmental disabilities, or epidemiologic research.
  • Experience creating basic reports, dashboards, or data visualizations.
  • Familiarity with data quality assurance and public health reporting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate timely completion of required onboarding documentation and clearances including fingerprinting, security checks, ID badges, and cardkeys
  • Ensure CITI Training is complete for Georgia SEED (GA SEED) staff
  • Input and process Time and Attendance in TASNET
  • Track and ensure approval of training requests in Vendor Supplied Training System (VSTS)
  • Complete Travel Office trainings and prepare associated travel orders and vouchers for domestic and international assignments, as needed
  • Reserve rooms, prepare agendas, take notes, arrange for visitor escorts, maintain and update calendars
  • Conduct annual property inventory, transfers for incoming/outgoing staff, and submission of excess property requests; Attend required meetings and complete mandatory property training
