About The Position

The Program Aide will assist Joanna Lahey by collecting literature, performing literature reviews, doing data analyses using Stata, writing papers, and formatting articles for journal submission. The Bush School of Government and Public Service was founded in 1997, under President George H.W. Bush's philosophy that public service is a noble calling. Since then, the Bush School has continued to reflect that notion in curriculum, research, and student experience as the Bush School prepares students to become principled leaders in their fields and to reflect the value of public service throughout their careers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • No prior experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Research experience in Public Service and Administration.
  • Graduate of Texas A&M University.
  • Experience with Stata.

Responsibilities

  • Coding - Clean and manage software code.
  • Analyzing Data - Analyze data using Stata and Excel.
  • Literature Collection - Collect and summarize literature to present to supervisor.
  • Organize plans for revision and resubmission of journal submissions.
