About The Position

This position is responsible for planning and providing activities and childcare services for school-age children participating in the after-school and/or summer day camp programs. The role involves planning, developing, and facilitating recreational activities and play time, preparing and maintaining program records, and ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of TSA’s property.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Two years experience teaching child development programs in a church or pre-school
Two years experience operating an automotive vehicle
Ability to meet attendance requirements
Ability to read, write and communicate the English language
Ability to observe children and ensure their safety
Ability to drive a passenger vehicle ensuring the safety of passengers and protection of the vehicle
Valid state driver's license
Valid State Commercial Driver’s License
C.P.R. and First Aid Certification
DOT Medical Certificate
Level 2 background screening

Responsibilities

Facilitates activities for school-age children, ensuring they are age-appropriate, stimulating, fun, and safe.
Builds and maintains effective and positive relationships with parents, community leaders, and host organizations and agencies.
Ensures all obligations are fulfilled in meeting the requirements of any written or verbal agreements.
Reports all accidents to the supervisor in an accurate and timely manner.
Drives carefully and observes/complies with all traffic signs and road/weather conditions to ensure the safety of passengers.
Cleans up the game room, kitchen, and library daily; picks up games and materials.
