About The Position

This position is responsible for leading children and adult activities for camp programs, including classroom training, tutoring, sports activities, Bible study, computer programs and specialized programs. The role also involves maintaining the cleanliness of the recreational and outdoor activities areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• One to two years’ experience teaching child development programs, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Ability to pass all state licensing background checks.
• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read, write and communicate the English language effectively.
• Ability to observe children and ensure their safety.
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain)

Nice To Haves

• Lifeguard Certification (preferred)
• Ropes Course Certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provides constant care for the needs of the children and adults in an efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure and healthy manner.
• Provides a positive, relaxed atmosphere during educational and outdoor activities, and promotes encouraging conversation.
• Ensures the accountability, security and safety of guests participating in outdoor activities; reports all accidents to the supervisor in an accurate and timely manner.
• Leads children and adult activities for camp programs, including classroom training, tutoring, sports activities, Bible study, computer programs and specialized programs.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the recreational and outdoor activities areas.
