About The Position

The Arc of Cumberland and Perry Counties in Mechanicsburg and New Cumberland, PA is seeking to hire a full-time entry-level Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct care for the individuals we serve with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role involves supporting individuals with disabilities to lead self-directed, meaningful lives as part of a dedicated and motivated team. Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle during working hours

Responsibilities

• Support people with disabilities to live their best lives as independently as possible.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as household maintenance, transportation, administration of medications, grocery shopping, meal preparation, and personal care.
• Build strong relationships with individuals served, learning their individual differences in ability, personality, interests, learning, motivation, likes, and dislikes to provide the best care.
• Support people with disabilities to live amazing lives according to their own needs and desires.
