About The Position

The Arc of Cumberland and Perry Counties in Harrisburg, PA is seeking to hire a full-time entry-level Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct care for the individuals we serve with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role involves supporting individuals with disabilities to lead self-directed, meaningful lives. The position is part of a dedicated and motivated team and offers a career in human services where you can make a difference. Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) earn a competitive wage of $17.12/hour plus an additional $1/hour shift differential. They are eligible for a generous benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance for full-time staff at NO COST for the employee-only coverage. Requirements

At least 18 years of age
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle during working hours
Punctual and reliable
Ability to keep track of multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Responsibilities

Support people with disabilities to live their best lives as independently as possible.
Assist with activities of daily living such as household maintenance, transportation, administration of medications, grocery shopping, meal preparation, personal care, and more.
Build strong relationships while learning individual differences in ability, personality, interests, learning, motivation, likes, and dislikes to provide the best care.
Support people with disabilities to live amazing lives according to their own needs and desires.
