About The Position

The function of the Program Advisor is to provide academic advising, registration assistance, and assistance in accessing, and navigating institutional requirements. The Program Advisor will provide advising, registration assistance, and assistance in accessing and navigating institutional requirements to current students. They will also provide career advising to assist students in choosing a career pathway, plan and implement retention and completion activities, and update transfer plans for transfer universities. The Program Advisor will work with the Program Advisor Coordinator to plan, implement and evaluate the programs and services provided by the Advising, Career & Transfer department. Additional duties include assisting with the graduation application process and commencement activities, and serving as a liaison to foster intentional relationships with other advisors, offices, and departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university required.
• Possess personal computer literacy and good organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience / training in one or more of the following areas: education, teaching, academic advising, recruiting, sales, customer service, marketing, or public relations – preferably at Community College level.
• Banner experience preferred.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
