About The Position

The Program Administrator III manages an assigned portfolio of academic programs, including the Disaster Resilience Leadership Academy and the undergraduate minor in Social Work. They are the first point of contact and primary information resource representative for their assigned programs. The position provides program support and assistance to program directors, faculty, staff, and students while focusing on administrative needs for academic programs, providing technical assistance when and where appropriate.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree
Five years of related experience or equivalent work experience

Nice To Haves

Five years experience supporting academic programs in higher education
Experience using course management and database software like Salesforce

Responsibilities

Work independently and without supervision when needed, but with the capacity to take direction and accept feedback
Ability to work in a matrixed organization, prioritizing between competing tasks to meet assigned deadlines
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to effectively manage a large volume of email correspondence
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse faculty, student body, and community
Strong customer-service orientation and desire to work as a part of a team to accomplish shared goals
Proficiency using a variety of software, including word processing and spreadsheet applications
Strong problem-solving skills and program-level decision-making to support academic programs
Demonstrated capacity to help solve ethical problems when dealing with the complexities of student development
Maintain professional disposition and clear boundaries with students, faculty, and staff at all times
Availability for occasional evening and weekend events and occasional travel
Ability to exercise discretion, HIPAA and FERPA compliance, and confidentiality when dealing with personal student information
