The Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) awards funds to local jurisdictions in Maryland to assist with developing a statewide system of mobile crisis response and stabilization services. BHA also oversees the regulation and licensing of Mobile Crisis Team programs. Mobile crisis services are broadly designed to increase community access to crisis support and ongoing services, and decrease engagement with hospital emergency departments and the criminal legal system. This position will support jurisdictional development of mobile crisis services across the state and monitor the implementation of these programs. The Mobile Crisis Program Administrator maintains and employs knowledge of current and emerging management and clinical best practices within mobile crisis response and stabilization services to develop and revise regulations, policies and standards of care, and implement system changes accordingly. The Mobile Crisis Program Administrator ensures program accountability for grant funds totaling approximately $18 million annually by creating, monitoring, and evaluating program process and outcome metrics, and troubleshooting care delivery challenges.
