Under general supervision, the Part-Time Program Activity Leader assists with the operation and oversight of Lancaster County Parks & Recreation athletic programs, leagues, tournaments, and facility rentals. This position is responsible for providing on-site support during outdoor athletic rentals, youth sports leagues, and indoor athletic programs. Duties include facility supervision, scorekeeping, customer service, event support, and ensuring facilities remain clean, safe, and welcoming for participants and spectators. The Program Activity Leader serves as a representative of Lancaster County Parks & Recreation and is expected to maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with participants, parents, coaches, officials, and the general public. Hours vary based on athletic seasons, facility rentals, tournaments, and special events. Evening and weekend availability is required. During outdoor sports seasons, staff will primarily support athletic fields and rentals. During the winter months, staff will support indoor athletic leagues and gymnasium operations.
