About The Position

Responsible for PROFORMA signals analysis of developmental and operational systems derived from machine generated, formatted data found in military command, control. Communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C41SR), civil, industrial, commercial, and personal applications, conveying information derived from sensors and/or control systems. The PSA shall also provide insight, advice, mentoring, and technical guidance to other government analysts on analytic issues encountered by the Weapons and Space community and its customers/partners.

Requirements

  • Current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Science, or Computer Science and at least 8 years of technical PROFORMA experience.
  • PROFORMA collection, processing, or screening experience may account for no more than 3 years of the technical PROFORMA requirement.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, 12 years of technical PROFORMA experience is required of which no more than 3 years of PROFORMA collection, processing, or screening experience can be applied in place of the technical PROFORMA requirement.
  • A Master's Degree in the fields as described above may be substituted for 2 years of technical PROFORMA experience.
  • A Ph.D. in the fields as described above may be substituted for 3 years of technical PROFORMA experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct target research to query, retrieve, analyze and integrate large amounts of PROFORMA information, recognize relationships between traffic and current tasking, and identify potential collection opportunities and improvements.
  • Analyze/report PROFORMA data in support of weapons and threat assessments, electronic warfare, acquisition, crisis support, and special projects.
  • Demodulate signals and create Framed Binary Format (FBF) bit files for further processing.
  • Use mapping tools, published intelligence reports, and display tools to identify the operating modes and capabilities of target signals.
  • Characterize air defense networks (e.g., disposition, composition, inventory) through signals analysis.
  • Identify and measure relationships, properties, and characteristics of complex waveforms and modulation type.
  • Develop algorithms to process new, complex data streams.
  • Provide insight, advice, mentoring, and technical guidance to other government analysts on analytic issues encountered by the Weapons and Space community and its customers/partners.
