About The Position
This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Taxation I (ADM3345M) during the Winter 2027 semester at the Telfer School of Management. The course provides a general knowledge of the Canadian Federal Income Tax system as it relates to individual taxpayers, covering the calculation of all sources of income to arrive at taxable income and the calculation of income taxes payable by an individual taxpayer. The teaching method will be delivered in person.
Requirements
- MBA or Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) in the area of taxation.
- Recent professional experience directly related to this course.
- Teaching experience, preferably in the area of taxation.
- An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
Nice To Haves
- Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA or CGA)
- Master's or PhD degree
Responsibilities
- Teach Taxation I (ADM3345M) during the Winter 2027 semester.
- Provide instruction on the Canadian Federal Income Tax system for individual taxpayers.
- Cover the tax provisions for calculating all sources of taxpayer income to arrive at taxable income.
- Instruct on the calculation of income taxes payable by an individual taxpayer.
