The Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication at Iowa State University is seeking a dynamic Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Sports Media and Communication. This role involves research, teaching, and leadership within the new Sports Media and Communication (SMC) major, which focuses on hands-on content creation using industry-standard and emerging digital tools in areas like broadcasting, writing, social media, and public relations. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. (or relevant terminal degree) by the time of appointment or a master’s degree with at least five years of full-time professional experience. Preferred qualifications include relevant teaching experience and a demonstrated ability to produce nationally/internationally recognized scholarship or creative work, commensurate with rank. Iowa State University, an R1 research-intensive university in the Big 12, offers significant collaboration opportunities for the scholarly analysis of sports communication.
